AMPAC USA offers ion exchange water softeners. Our softeners are built based on your needs and your individual water usage patterns and the hardness of the water. Water softeners are sized in grains per gallon (gpg). One grain equals 17.1 ppm or mg/liter. If water has 10 grains of hardness, it is equivalent to 170.1 mg/liter. The more grains of hardness the water has, the more frequently the water softener needs to regenerate. This is why it is important to size the softener properly, to prevent excessive regeneration.

Our home water softeners series combine an attractive design with a six cycle, long-lasting Noryl valve. The separate brine tank can be located away from the resin tank, allowing the system to be installed in smaller spaces.  The water softener series, with the Six-cycle fleck Econominder Control Valve, monitors the water usage and cleans itself automatically, assuring minimum salt and water usage during the cleaning process.

All of the home water softeners come with a stainless steel, full jacket, bypass and power transformer. The softener is plumbed into the entry of a home.  From there, it removes calcium and magnesium from the water and exchanges it for sodium or potassium, depending on which type of salt is used. Our water softeners are self-maintaining (water softeners salt only needs to be added once a month). The system measures the amount of water used in the water softener and regenerates at 2 a.m. by back flushing and running salt through the system to remove the hardness of the minerals. AMPAC water softeners reduce chlorine taste, odor and discoloration from the water in sinks, showers and faucets.
